SURESTAFF is immediately hiring a Plant Maintenance Engineer for a client in Northbrook, IL. The Plant Maintenance Engineer oversees quoting details, equipment design, purchasing and safety. Facility produces precision metal products for automotive industry.

Available shifts include: 1st shift
8 hour shift
Weekends as needed.
Plant Maintenance Engineer Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in launching new products through quoting activity and tracking of tooling.
• Purchase needed tools and supplies for the facility.
• Coordinate work with outside suppliers.
• Design and help install new equipment as needed.
• Help develop improved processes throughout the facility. Implement these processes in coordination with maintenance manager.
• Support maintenance manager in all activities.
• Coordinate with maintenance manager to ensure preventative maintenance schedules are maintained.
• Ensure employees follow safety procedures. Maintain safety protocols and ensure OSHA compliance.

Plant Maintenance Engineer Skills and Competencies:

• Minimum 5 years related experience in manufacturing; or, Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university.
• Or equivalent combination of Tech school education and experience.
• Equipment maintenance experience and mechanical knowledge is required.
• Intermediate computer skills (MS Office).
• Knowledge of electric furnaces and mechanical hoists is a plus.
